The 101st Champlain Valley Fair begins this week, and attendees should be aware of a new policy put in place last year that could affect their visit.

The clear bag policy implemented in 2022 is in effect once again, meaning that guests will not be allowed to enter the fairgrounds with any backpacks, drawstring bags or other similar bags unless they are see-through.

Bags the size of a small purse or clutch are allowed, as well as diaper bags and bags containing medical equipment, will also be admitted.

This year’s fair runs from Friday, Aug. 25 to Sept. 3. NBC5 will have live coverage on Friday and continuing coverage throughout the event.
